About Our Mosquito Control Service

Image

Mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks can quickly turn your outdoor spaces into uncomfortable and potentially dangerous areas. These pests thrive in our region's climate, breeding in standing water and dense vegetation. As temperatures rise, their populations explode, making it challenging to enjoy your yard without constant swatting and itching. Moreover, these insects can carry diseases like West Nile virus, Lyme disease, and heartworm, posing serious health risks to both humans and pets.

Go Green Lawn Care offers comprehensive pest control solutions tailored to combat these persistent invaders. Our mosquito control service combines two highly effective methods: barrier applications and misting systems. The barrier treatment creates a protective zone around your property, while the misting system provides ongoing control in high-risk areas.

Mosquito Control Process

  1. Property assessment to identify breeding sites and high-risk areas
  2. Application of barrier treatment to foliage and structures
  3. Installation of strategic misting systems (if chosen)
  4. 5-6 targeted applications throughout the season, with special attention to pre-holiday treatments
  5. Ongoing monitoring and adjustments as needed

Frequently Asked Questions

Discover quick answers to your most pressing mosquito control questions, helping you enjoy a bite-free lawn while protecting your family and pets from these disease-carrying pests.

Is it safe?

Once dried, the applications are safe for children and pets. Drying times take 30-60 minutes, depending on the weather. All products are EPA-approved, and all technicians are state-certified to apply lawn insect treatments.

How effective are the treatments?

While we would like to offer 100% effectiveness from all mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks, you should notice a 95% reduction in the pests in your yard. Go Green Lawn Care is dedicated to making your yard or event as pest-free as possible.

If I'm not home, how will I know my yard has been treated?

Every time we apply a treatment, our technician will leave a sign in the yard, and you will get a confirmation email shortly after.

Will rain affect the treatment?

As long as our application has had time to dry, the rain will not affect our treatment. In addition, we will not apply directly before rain.

How long does it take to do the barrier spray treatment?

A typical treatment will average about 10-15 minutes. Larger yards may take longer to treat.

How long will the treatment last?

Each treatment lasts approximately 21 days, at which time our team will be scheduled to treat your yard again.

Do you spray the grass?

Not generally. Mosquitoes do not usually seek shelter in the grass. The most common areas where mosquitoes are found during the day include the underside of the leaves of dense/shrubby plants, under decks, and in damp, shady areas of the property. We do recommend that you keep your grass short during the mosquito season. With a Flea & Tick application, your grass will be sprayed. Our service will also kill fleas, ticks, spiders, ants, cockroaches, and box elder bugs.
